How we keep Survivals free
Survivals participates in affiliate programmes with several UK outdoor retailers. When you click a product link on our site and make a purchase, we may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you.
This affiliate revenue is what keeps Survivals free to use — no paywalls, no selling your data. Just honest outdoor advice funded by the products we genuinely recommend.

Amazon UK
We are a participant in the Amazon Associates Programme. Product links to Amazon earn us a small referral fee.
Heinnie Haynes
A specialist UK retailer for knives, tools, and outdoor accessories. We link to them for bushcraft and EDC gear.
Decathlon
Budget-friendly outdoor and camping gear. We often recommend Decathlon products as best-value options.
Go Outdoors
A major UK outdoor retailer with a wide range of camping, hiking, and survival gear.
Alpkit
A British outdoor brand offering great-value gear direct to consumer. Known for sleeping bags, shelters, and accessories.
Cotswold Outdoor
Premium outdoor clothing and equipment. We link to them for higher-end gear recommendations.
Pitchup
A campsite booking platform. We link to Pitchup for paid camping spots featured on our interactive map.
How affiliate links work
When you click an affiliate link on Survivals, the retailer tracks that visit using a cookie or URL parameter. If you go on to make a purchase within a set time window (usually 24 hours to 30 days, depending on the programme), we earn a small percentage of the sale.
You pay exactly the same price whether you use our link or go directly to the retailer. The commission comes from the retailer, not from you.
Our editorial process
We recommend products we would use ourselves. Affiliate relationships do not influence which products we recommend or how we rate them. If a product is the best option but is not available via an affiliate programme, we still recommend it.
If we would not recommend something to a friend, it does not appear on Survivals — regardless of commission rates.
